Subtitles can make all the difference between understanding what is going on in a movie and not having a clue what the characters are talking about. With so many applications available on the Internet, anyone can create subtitles, but using an advanced video editor will take too long. AHD Subtitles Maker Pro works just like other video editors. The interface has the same layout, which includes a video preview area, a timeline, a list where you can add subtitle tracks and various editing options. You can load any common media file, such as AVI, MOV, FLV and even audio files in MP3, WAV and other formats. The media file is placed automatically in its own channel, so you can start creating subtitles immediately.

Subtitles can be organized in different tracks, which are created in the upper right area of the interface, by clicking a plus icon. Once a track is created, you may add the subtitles themselves to a different list. After clicking the appropriate option, located on the toolbar, a small window will appear, where you can type or paste your text, align it, change its fonts settings and specify the subtitle's duration.

The subtitles, from a selected track, are displayed as different items, in a separate channel, beneath the loaded media. You can shift them left or right with click and drag actions, change their duration by dragging their edges and edit their contents in the lower right corner of the window. The built-in media player will help you make sure the subtitles are well placed. Alternatively, you can use the software's synchronization feature, which requires specifying a base and a target framerate.

The software lets you translate the subtitles with the aid of Google Translate. This option will bring up a new window on your screen, where you have to select a subtitle, the source and target languages and click a button to translate. Exporting subtitles is a four-step process. After selecting a subtitle track, you can choose an output format. AHD Subtitles Maker Pro supports a very broad range of subtitle formats, compatible with various media players. You can also choose one of many encoding methods and finally, preview your project, set a destination path and start exporting.
